Opportunities at The Counseling Center of Iowa City
CCIC began as the dream clinic of Phil Striegel, Ph.D., LMFT, Susan Fisher, MA, LMFT, and David Young, Ph.D., LMFT and became a reality in 2008. Our mission is and always has been to provide the best possible therapy to our clients and to free-up therapists to do their best possible work while maintaining a work-life balance. We invite qualified therapists to apply to join our practice as Independent Contractors. Both full-time and part-time therapists are welcome.
In Our Practice

Clinicians can make their own best decisions about how to set up their practices within the clinic.

Clinicians control their own hours and determine how many clients they see.

The number of clients a Clinician sees determines whether they are full-time and have their own office or are part-time and share an office.

Clinicians have the flexibility to determine whether they work from home, in the office, or a combination of both.

Clinicians can decide to work whatever hours they like—early mornings, late evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Clinicians have a competent support team to manage the business of therapy. We have an outstanding support team. They are dedicated and responsive to the needs of our Clinicians and their clients. They are professionals, who are experienced in handling the business of therapy, and free-up Clinicians to focus on their work with clients. Our clients often complement our support team for their courtesy and helpfulness.
Our office is in a space that provides privacy for our clients, located in the last building on Northgate Drive. The main entrance is located in the upper parking lot, on the east side of the building.
